Dr. Taormina (known in the community as Dr. T.) is a Licensed Psychologist specializing in the areas of psychological/psychoeducational testing and therapy. Specifically, Dr. T. specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorders, behavioral concerns, and child/adolescent psychology. Due to her research and clinical experience in the area of Autism, she has been credentialed as an “Expert” through the Federal court system. While many professionals offer testing, Dr. T.’s School Psychology background gives her an advantage in understanding school systems including special education law, IEP’s and 504 plans. Too often school systems receive evaluations with interventions they are unable to meet; however, Dr. T.’s school psychology background provides her with an added advantage in understanding school guidelines and service options.

Further, Dr. T.’s focus on collaborative care helps promote consistency within the home, school, and community settings. Every person is unique, which is why Dr. T. develops therapeutic sessions, in-home/school interventions, and parent tips focusing on individual strengths and weaknesses.
Overall, she has many years of experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and developmental disorders including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Behavioral Disorders (ODD/Conduct Disorder), Reactive Attachment Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, and Trauma/Stress-Related Disorders.
